I think mobile apps that focus on simplicity are the best.

I've come to realize that for mobile apps, less is definitely more. I mean, I find myself gravitating towards apps that are really straightforward and don't try to cram too many features onto one screen. When I'm on my phone, often I'm just trying to do one quick thing, and an overly complicated interface just defeats the purpose. Does anyone else feel like simplicity in mobile apps makes them so much better to use?

Absolutely, I'm completely with you on that! Too many apps try to do everything and end up doing nothing well, especially on a smaller screen. The best ones anticipate what you need and present it clearly without a lot of visual noise. It's like they understand you're probably using it quickly, maybe even with one hand. I stumbled upon this great article going into why mobile entertainment platforms keep winning attention https://www.figbat.com/blog/why-mobile-entertainment-platforms-keep/ and it highlighted that users want speed, not confusion, and variety without clutter. It really drove home the point that ease of use, like quick orientation and clear paths, builds loyalty more than flashy graphics. It's all about making the user feel comfortable and effective right from the start.
