MARTIN STEPHENSON has been one of the UK’s best- loved musicians for over 30 years, both as a talented solo artist or with his band The Daintees.
Stephenson’s “must see” live performances are an exuberant tour-de-force combining heart-in-your-mouth intimacy with playful humour and warm self-deprecation. He is a unique, engaging, spontaneous and talented performer.
Martin has been in session with both Tom Robinson in London and Roddy Hart in Glasgow at the BBC Radio Quayside sessions. Billy Connolly came to visit and record him as part of the BBC tv documentary Made in Scotland in which he referred to Martin as ‘My kind of musician”. His shows are wonderful things, featuring songs old and new, stories both sad and hilarious and finger picking guitar of the very highest standard.
