The Leicestershire-raised, Welsh-rooted saxophonist brings his dynamic quartet to Aberdeen, presenting music from his debut album.
A graduate of Trinity Laban, Nye is a distinctly creative artist who paints visceral scenes through his music.
Key influences of his are Ambrose Akinmusire, Wayne Shorter and British Jazz icon and mentor of Nye’s, Mark Lockheart.
For this performance Nye will be joined by brothers Robbie Moore on piano, and Ewan on drums, who themselves form the fusion duo ‘BIGHEADMODE’; and with Pyjaen member Ben Crane on double bass.
