MOBO Award nominated Irish drummer/composer David Lyttle started out in the band of guitar legend Louis Stewart and has gone on to perform in over 25 countries, including the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He has collaborated with a long list of icons, from Joe Lovano to Kurt Rosenwinkel, and performed in the groups of Jesse van Ruller, David Kikoski and Soweto Kinch. His crossover projects have featured Talib Kweli and Liam Neeson, and his ambitious artist residencies include a US coast-to-coast road trip performing for subculture audiences ranging from bikers in California to UFO tourists near Area 51. This year his schedule has already included a European tour and residencies in Morocco, Tunisia and Istanbul. At the Blue Lamp he will perform with a new trio featuring London guitarist on the rise and former Jazz Warrior Tom Remon, and Lebanon bassist Elie Afif, who is now resident in Scotland.
Doors 7:30pm / music from 8pm.
