Let’s find out more about the bands:  THE FUNKY RED PANDAS  Putting the fun in funk, The Funky Red Pandas were winners of the North East's Eruption Battle of The Bands in 2023. With prize money to burn, the band went viral when they released a music video for their debut single Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.  Appearances on BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Sounds, Northsound One, Shmu fm, Original 106fm and more followed, solidifying their status (to some) as "Aberdeen's hottest band".  Since then they have added keys and sax and gone from strength to strength.  With their infectious brand of original funk music (peppered with funky covers) the pandas are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and a groove to your shoes. SOVIREZ  8-piece funk and soul band Sovirez formed in 2019, quickly honing an infectious sound and establishing themselves as a high energy and impactful live act. Sovirez have had regular play on radio (BBC Introducing Scotland, BBC Rapal, Amazing Radio UK/USA plus many more), and their single “Stadium Heights” was chosen as single of the week in April 2022 for BBC Radio Scotland’s “The Afternoon Show”.  The band have had notable support slots with the likes of Callum Beattie, Wrest, Mickey 9s, Brownbear and Blue Rose Code on two dates of their UK Spring tour 2022, as well as two sold out headline shows at The Flying Duck & Broadcast in Glasgow and multiple festival slots throughout 2023.  Sovirez is a love letter to classic funk & soul with all the energy of modern dance and pop.
