Britta Virves is a pianist and composer born in Saaremaa, Estonia, and now based in Stockholm. Well known for her collaborations with Grammy-nominated artists Joakim Milder and the Norrbotten Big Band, she is regarded as one of the most promising young pianists in Swedish jazz. Her debut album Juniper features piano compositions which are narratively clear and harmonically modern meditations on the people and places she calls home.
